12 hours on the road

Very tired. Found a reasonably priced/recently renovated hotel by the highway outside Sault Ste Marie, and going to call it a night.

In the middle of filling up gas for the car, some random stranger just approached me to compliment me on my BRZ. I don’t think I’ve seen a lot of FT86 cars on the highway or parking lots in this area. I’ve seen several C6 Corvettes, lots of Jeeps, tonnes of F150s and Hyundai Sonatas.

Update: I went to grab something from my car in the parking lot, and noticed that my car was sandwiched between a Jeep Wrangler and a Jeep Rubicon. There was also a Dodge Pickup towing a flatbed with another Black Jeep parked directly in front of my car. Is there a Jeep event happening here that I don’t know about? I tried taking a picture, but it didn’t turn out well. You’re just going to have to take my word for it.

It costs $6 to park to see the big nickel! However, they refund the full amount if you leave within 45 minutes. It’s a giant nickel. How long would it take to admire this in real life!? Obviously I got my money back….
St Marys River, bordering between Ontario and Michigan. The water was so clear and clean!
